Parsipanu petering

There is no known definition of Parsipanu. As a past scout and cadet, it is ingrained in me to be a balanced observer. Over the past 50+ years, I find that Parsipanu (which means many things to many wo/men) is declining in some respects — not necessarily in any ascending or descending order: not wearing our sudreh-kusti; not doing our kusti prayers twice a day; not saying our other prayers; leaning towards other faiths; not speaking Gujarati; making the absence of sponsored housing an excuse for celibacy (how do overseas Parsis manage without it?); shunning entrepreneurship; excessive intra-community litigation.
