It is sad that our most favorite columnist Berjis Desai has written his last column in Parsiana ("Farewell to Bawa Musings,” Parsiana, August 21, 2017) but heartening to know that his writings will be published in a book form. His columns that I most enjoyed were his reminiscences of Navsari which reminded me about my childhood vacations spent there. My maiden surname was Desai too.

It is really sad to see a very comical representation of the Parsi community’s eccentricities and traits being ended. We looked forward to each issue of Parsiana to see which subject he would take up next. I would recommend Parsiana be "suckers for punishment,” as he has mentioned, and continue Desai’s column.
