Jokhi’s study

Delnaz Jokhi (pictured) of Ahmedabad achieved a PhD degree from Gujarat University in the field of commerce in August 2017. "Her research is an inter-disciplinary study titled ‘Revealing the Impact of Demographic Transition on Economic Growth and Stock Market of India in the Post Liberalisation Era,’” notes an email from her husband Marzun. The fresh PhD adds that "inter linkage between various demographic/population age groups, economic growth and stock markets has been studied using some statistical techniques in this research.” In response to Parsiana’s follow up queries, Marzun adds that Delnaz is a faculty member in the department of statistics at J. G. College of Commerce in Ahmedabad for over a decade and teaches at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels. She completed her research under the guidance of Dr Hemal Pandya of the University. Delnaz achieved a first class in her MPhil examination with a dissertation on "Population projection of Zoroastrian Community,” based on her research of the Parsis of Ahmedabad (see "Distinction for Delnaz,” Events and Personalities, Parsiana, October 21, 2007). In the current thesis, "there is no specification towards any community like us Parsis,” states Marzun.  ...
