Navsari’s bold decision

The Navsari Samast Parsi Zarthoshti General Fund (NSPZGF) must stand by its decision to establish an aramgah and not be deterred by the archaic opinions of our high priests and diehard traditionalists. Calcutta and Bangalore have aramgahs and agiaries and the local Parsis can exert their choice regarding the form of disposal. There is only one snag. Globally, all burials are a waste of space. To deal with this, Parsi aramgahs can bury corpses vertically, as is being done abroad. Ecologically, electric crematoria are the best, and the NSPZGF should think about this option seriously.        B. T. DASTU...
