After reading the above article I hope this is the first step toward humanizing the Asiatic Society and thereby proceed to impact the broader society in which this misogyny breeds. Congratulations to you, Mrs. Vispi Balaporia! Yes, while we rejoice at your appointment, we should all admit that it is indeed a belated recognition. Across the world, in all walks of life, society is crawling often grudgingly toward gender equality. One hopes your appointment will open a few more misogynist eyes to recognize this ongoing social abomination, and collectively strive to eradicate it.
