With solicitor and community activist Berjis Desai refraining from contesting the March 14, 2021 Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) trusteeship elections, the stage is set for a possibly bitter contest between retired assistant commissioner of customs and honorary secretary of the Cusrow Baug United Sports and Welfare League Hoshang Jal, reportedly supported by BPP trustee Kersi Randeria, and whichever candidate the former BPP chairman Dinshaw Mehta chooses to back. The name of community activist Phiroze Amroliwalla is being bandied about. Both have unsuccessfully contested trusteeship elections before.
