"I will use my term in office to ‘collaborate to grow,’” noted chartered accountant Percy Amalsadiwalla (pictured) about his one-year term as president of the Bombay Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The leader of the 1,100-member Chapter, 
the largest of the six India chapters of IIA, spoke to Parsiana a few days before chairing his first meeting of their board of governors (BOG) on July 31, 2021. "We must tap on the synergies that exist in team work,” he told us. The Institute conducts regular training and refresher programs for its members and conducts examinations to certify financial professionals in the niche area of internal audit. "Together let us take on the challenges of Covid-19 and the many opportunities it offers to bring flexibility in learning and upskilling ourselves to enhance services to stakeholders for another successful year,” Amalsadiwalla noted in a communique to members posted on the Chapter’s website.
The communication noted that the Chapter’s call for names for the BOG generated tremendous interest. "The independent nomination committee has put in considerable time and efforts to select the BOG and serve our Chapter,” he stated. Another Zoroastrian name in the current BOG is Cyrus Adajania, part of their social media committee. Other committees look after events, memberships and publications, among others.
Amalsadiwalla is, in addition to being a qualified chartered accountant, a certified fraud examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, USA with over 18 years of experience in internal audit, ethics, compliance and investigations. Currently employed by an international technology conglomerate, he has previously served consulting firm Deloitte and cement company ACC Holcim.
