The Desai-Dastur duel
The front-runners in the Bombay Parsi Punchayet trusteeship
elections, Anahita Desai and Ervad Xerxes Dastur voice their concerns

Fearing that electronic voter machines can be tampered with, Bombay Parsi Punchayet (BPP) trustees Viraf Mehta and Armaity Tirandaz have moved the Bombay High Court requesting Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines for the forthcoming trusteeship elections on July 1, 2018. They have reportedly also appealed for a Court appointed administrator/observers as was the case in the 2015 elections. A stay has been sought from shifting two of the five earlier listed election polling venues.
