Thank you for the review of my compendium Threads of Continuity: Zoroastrian Life and Culture ("Compendium for continuity,” Books, Parsiana, May 7, 2017). I am grateful to Dr Jamshed Modi for appreciating the effort that has gone into its research and publication.
There are two points which I, however, need to make: firstly, the book is an IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts) - Parzor Publication, supported by the Ministry of Minority Affairs and is available at the IGNCA Book Store, 11 Mansingh Road, New Delhi 110049 as well as at Parzor and Parsiana Book Store, Bombay. Parsiana has kindly agreed to ship it worldwide.
Secondly, regarding the last paragraph of the review, I need to state that I did not cover demography in this book because for almost 10 years, Parzor and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences have been working on a major demographic module. The publications of this module brought out in 2017, The Parsis of India: Continuing at the Crossroads are in the form of four volumes published by SAGE namely: The Indian Parsis: Themes Old and New edited by Shalini Bharat and Armaity S. Desai; Contemporary Parsis: Marriage, Family and Community edited by Bharat; The World of Indian Parsi Youth: Status and Perceptions by Lata Narayan; and The Parsi Elderly: To Live with Dignity by S. Siva Raju.
These are available from SAGE as well as book stores across India.
