"My first term as president of the Zoroastrian Association of Western Australia (ZAWA) almost 20 years ago was with a committee of six lovely ladies. This time it is six brilliant men,” noted a WhatsApp message from Firoz Pestonji, the day following his election as president on September 16, 2025. The six members elected to the new committee that will serve a three-year term are vice president Jehanbux Wadia, treasurer Arzan Patel, secretary Ervad Aspi Bilia, Pedram Mojgani, Mehernosh Mistry and Deric Tadivala. Of the six, Patel who had served as treasurer on the last committee and Mojgani were reelected. The average age of the committee members is approximately 45 years, stated Pestonji.

When requested by Parsiana to specify the priorities for the new team, the president mentioned creating "a strong bonding, increase membership, create new community activities, get-togethers etc.” The long-term goal is to "make global alliances.” Plans to form a South East Asian Zoroastrian Federation have been in abeyance for the last several years.
As informed by immediate past president Zarine Kharas (see "Perth picks up pace,” Zoroastrians Abroad, Parsiana, May 7-20, 2025) ZAWA had 135 members with 70 adults, 31 seniors, nine students and 25 children who come together for different sports and social activities organized by the Association.
