The Parsis of Ahmedabad took part in a truncated Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2021 that took place at the Sanatorium grounds of the Ahmedabad Parsi Panchayat (APP) in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. The seventh successive celebration organized by the Dhunjishaw and Manijeh Gamir Charitable Trust (DMGCT) saw a "modest crowd,” that included representatives of trusts working in the city and the APP, wrote DMGCT trustee Aspy Bharucha. All past events had been celebrated with the unfurling of the flag by celebrated community members, notably from the defense services, a sporting event and food, he wrote. At this year’s function National Cadet Corps commandant Harvez Bharucha hoisted the flag. The event ended with coffee and snacks.
