I have read with dismay Dr Hirji S. Adenwalla’s comments ("Lost souls,” Readers’ Forum, Parsiana, July 7, 2018) on my letter which appeared in May 21, 2018.
I consider it totally wrong for a Zoroastrian to seek solace or salvation in any other religion. When the Mazdayasni religion was revealed to Zarathushtra, Ahura Mazda told him: "Whatever religions exist now, and those that emerge in future, (Mazdayasna) is the most exalted and the best of all — I am the praiser of that. That religion was learnt by Zarathushtra from Ahura Mazda. The granter of all favors is Ahura Mazda, I accept. Praise be to the Mazdayasna religion!” (translated from the Avesta by Prof Karl Geldner and into Gujarati by Dastur Peshotan Sanjana).
Isn’t that a firm mandate?
Regarding Tipu Sultan, he was a monstrous hoax who, while persecuting and butchering Hindus, regularly donated a bag of gold to a Hindu temple.
