Due to long distances and workday traffic woes, Delhi Parsi Anjuman (DPA) members celebrated Navroz on Sunday March 19, 2023 instead of Tuesday, March 21, noted DPA president Ava Khullar. "As Parsis are spread over the National Capital Region, which covers Old and New Delhi, Trans Jumna, Gurgaon and NOIDA, constant getting together is not possible, so DPA functions are occasions for catching up with friends and the event is hence full of chatter and laughter through the evening,” she explained.
A maachi was offered in the Kaikhusru Pallonji Katrak Dar-e-Meher by head priest Ervad Cawas Bagli, after which all gathered in the adjacent hall to grieve the passing away of their "valued colleague” and honorary treasurer on the board of trustees, Aspy Mehta (see "Efficient and ethical,” Parsiana, April 21-May 6, 2023). The program commenced with the screening of Divya Cowasji’s documentary The Show Must Go On (see "Reel life,” Parsiana, February 21-March 6, 2023), noted joint honorary secretary Ashdeen Lilaowala.

Another highlight was the Haft Seen table set by DPA members Villie Aria and Kaenaz Engineer "who were assisted by our youth trustee Azade Aria… As always, Azade walked the crowd through the process… (there was) a sprinkle of rose water and a smile in the mirror to usher in only the best for yourself and your loved ones.”
A sumptuous dinner of mutton pulav, dhansak dal, masala chicken and falooda, with vegetable cutlets and apricot stew added for vegetarians was catered by Bagli’s Kitchen, noted Khullar.
