Ahmedabad vaccine drive

Over 175 Parsis of Ahmedabad over 45 years of age were vaccinated free of cost under the auspices of the Sunamai and Firoze Davar Charitable Trust (SFDCT) at the Parsi Sanatorium Grounds on April 4, 2021. The Trust will host the drive again to administer the second dose of the vaccine after the government mandated waiting period, noted Shirin Kanga and Marzban Lahewala, trustees of the Ahmedabad Parsi Panchayat (APP) in a message to Parsiana. Lahewala is also a trustee of SFDCT. SFDCT was founded by ex APP trustee Prof Armaity Davar in 2017 in memory of her parents Sunamai and Prof Firoze Davar. Father and daughter being educationists, the main objective of the Trust is to provide educational aid to needy children from Parsi and non-Parsi families, and medical aid to needy humdins of Ahmedabad. The Trust has organized community meals, talks on religious topics and other activities.                                                   F. J.         Ahmedabad vaccine drive ...
