“Tempest over temple”

With reference to your article "Tempest over temple” (Parsiana, February 7-20, 2024), I offer kudos to everyone who participated in the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
As a Zoroastrian I wish that one day we will also be able to reinstall our fire temples in our motherland, Iran, which had suffered the same fate as Ayodhya.
With reference to the letter "Salute to Sadeh” in the Readers’ Forum column of the same issue, with due respect, relating ancient Mazdayasni festivals to myths is an insult to the science and knowledge known to our ancestors and reflected in the Gathas.
All our festivals are in recognition of the truth as embedded in Asha. Their names indicate the exact day of the celebrations which are all landmarks in nature. We should refrain from repeating misinformation found in history or about our religion. Just because a scholar has said something we should not believe it but should use our wisdom to analyze it to see if it is true.
In the Gathas Zoroaster requires us to be seekers and not believers alone.

I fully agree with what you have to say about prayers for Ram in the article on the new temple in Ayodhya.
