"Nation building has always been the guiding principle of the Tatas,” said Harish Bhat, brand custodian, Tata Sons Private Limited, while inaugurating the exhibition on September 10, 2022. "The commitment to nation building was articulated by J. R. D. Tata when he said, ‘No success or achievement in material terms is worthwhile unless it serves the needs or interests of the country and its people’… which the group has pursued during the past 75 years.” This has been done through four streams of endeavor: building industries, institutions, people and ideas which serve the nation, Bhat added.
Present on the occasion were senior officials of the Tata Group and several dignitaries, including trustee of Tata Trusts Sir Cowasji Jehangir and his wife Lady Jasmine.
In addition to focusing on industrial development, the exhibition showcases women in the group, labor welfare measures and contributions in the fields of education, CSR (corporate social responsibility) and sports through the years, notes the newsletter. This has been done through displays of photographs and interesting documents.
