Sagar Associates, Bombay — are listed among the top 100 lawyers in the country, according to the A-list, released by the India Business Law Journal (IBLJ) in association with the Indian Corporate Counsel Association (ICCA) on November 30, 2016. The listing was compiled as a result of comments received by IBLJ from clients suggesting that they do not merely look for "lawyers with deep knowledge and wide experience, but also with commercial acumen, who can meet deadlines and help them traverse the thickets of regulations that crisscross India,” notes the website of the Journal.

Based on extensive research conducted in association with ICCA, the A-list lawyers’ list should "prove to be an invaluable reference guide for in-house lawyers as they seek out legal advisers who can be counted on to deliver,” the website notes. The final list is based on nominations received as well as the IBLJ editorial team’s more than 30 years’ collective experience in documenting and analyzing India’s legal market.
