Dr Bhickoo (née Acharia) Anandam died on December 6, 2012 in Madras. She was an avid reader of Parsiana for many years. She lies buried in the Royapettah Parsee Baug, and her funerary ceremonies were performed by the priest in the Madras agairy.
She was born and brought up in Bombay, studied at St Anne’s School and St Xavier’s College. She obtained her doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Paris, taught in Sophia College and later worked in the Central Leather Research Institute, University of Madras, and some other foreign universities. She had many relatives and friends in Bombay, UK and the USA. Our son Parvez is in Seattle and daughter Anahita works for Godrej Properties as chief architect in Bangalore. VICTOR ANANDAM
