I was upset (not offended) by some of the articles appearing in recent issues of Parsiana and wanting breathing space, I felt it would be better to receive the magazine late. When a trouble maker in the family runs away and we wish he would never come back, within an hour of his departure we start worrying about him and looking through the window hoping for his early return. I experienced the same thing when the Parsiana issue of August 21, 2010 did not arrive and vowed never to think adversely of Parsiana again. I am glad that the magazine is alive and kicking.
In my dream I see Parsiana as a loving, caring and guiding publication. I want to see it as vibrant, loved and honored. I want to see it in the hands of every young and senior member of our community. I want to see more articles about religious understanding and creating harmony instead of sowing the seeds of contention and division. I want to see some vocational guidance for youth.
We have a large pool of talented, well qualified graduates, but there is no one to hold their hand and guide them. In this age of strong sectionalism it is quite difficult for our boys and girls to find a job. Even our Parsi sethias are reluctant to hire them and those who do put them under their radar, watching and criticizing their every move. I would like Parsiana to give them confidence and place them in a qualified organization where they can shine out.
