Three outstanding young Zoroastrians were felicitated at the Jamshedi Navroz function, celebrated with much fanfare by the community of Secunderabad-Hyderabad at the Zoroastrian Club on March 21, 2006. A memento and a bouquet were presented to each of the recipients, notes a press release from the Club. Currently ranking number one at the National junior double-trap and 13th at the juniors-seniors combined level, Asher Gusti Noria was felicitated for his outstanding performance in shooting. Besides representing his state at national meets, he has also represented the country at world meets. Naznin Noshir Mistry secured the highest marks in cost accounting and management accounting in the BCom final examinations. She had set a record by scoring cent percent marks in these subjects. Khushnuma Rasheed Jilla’s model ‘Conversion of Garbage to Electricity’ had won her the first prize at the district level science fair in 2004-05. She enjoys the distinction of being the only Girl Guide from Andhra Pradesh to represent the country at the 25th Asia-Pacific Jamboree held in Thailand in December 2005 where she was awarded the badge of excellence.
