Yezdi H. Godiwalla (pictured), emeritus professor of management at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, USA has authored The Foreign Subsidiary: Working within the international firm. He sent Parsiana a brief write-up on the sale of the publication. He writes that in the book he has expounded on the role of a foreign subsidiary in international management in a manner that would help multinational corporations (MNCs) "geographically expand and grow… business volume” by systematically increasing both 
domestic and international operations. "Conceptual and practical,” the book "provides both theories and recommendations for practice. It is a good testament to the tenet that the practicing manager should be as conceptually sound as the theorist should be pragmatically astute,” Godiwalla’s write-up states.
The MNC and its foreign subsidiaries "will hold true to their purpose of enlarging the scope of business around the world and transferring from one country to another country: people, values, ideas and views and perspectives, knowledge, arts and know-how and skills, lifestyles and standards of living, goods and services, equipment, finance and (engineering and organizational) technologies.” Godiwalla explains in his write-up that as agents of global change they "usher in newer ways of life” and mitigate "the plight of less fortunate” societies.
The book deals with global organizational and foreign subsidiary strategies, entrepreneurship, innovation and competitiveness, as well as ethical and social responsibility, among other topics, in its 21 chapters, the professor lists.
