The coronavirus has proved to be a killjoy, literally and figuratively, for hosts, guests, service providers and trusts. Those eagerly looking forward to host a grand function in the festive season of 2020-21 have been left with no option but to defer it by a year due to government restrictions on the number of guests, the uncertainties of travel arrangements, quarantine regulations and out of abundant caution. There will be no impetus for the glitterati to flaunt their exquisite garas and designer duglis.
