It’s always sad and depressing to learn about a dear one’s demise. Recently a good friend, a respected elder of the community, Keki Cooper, passed away peacefully in Bombay. He was introduced to me by an equally wonderful soul, his cousin Rati Cooper, an Indian national living on a long visa in Pakistan. Now they are together in heaven.
On my visits to Bombay I had the pleasure of visiting Keki’s home and being served delicious Parsi cuisine by his beautiful wife, Kamal.

Keki was an ardent supporter of Indo-Pak trade relations and would speak at length on the subject. I would laugh it off, saying it’s not happening, at least in our lifetime. Anyway that remains to be seen.
Keki was a hardworking businessman, a very fine, hospitable person and an optimist. I will miss him. My prayers and good wishes are with his family members who will cherish his memory.
