For his many years of distinguished and outstanding services to the people and the Government of Canada, Adil Mama was awarded a medal by the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC). This distinction confers on him the rights, privileges and honors afforded to an honorary member of the board of directors, notes a write-up forwarded by Ervad Kobad Zarolia of Toronto.

NEPMCC is a non-profit organization that for the last 26 years has been endeavoring to integrate the interests of ethnic communities into the mainstream of Canadian society. With educated immigrants from different parts of the world daily arriving to Canada, NEPMCC encompasses "more than seven million new Canadians through 650 Canadian publications published in a language other than English and French, and over 120 radio and television programs,” notes their website. Their awards in the individual category honor recipients for distinguished service, diplomatic service, lifetime service to journalism, exceptional service to community media and services rendered to the ethnic Press of Canada.
A trusted senior advisor to many prominent government and business leaders, Mama is "one of our most decorated Parsis in Canada,” notes Zarolia referring to Mama being earlier conferred the gold and the diamond jubilee medal of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and being nominated for The Order of Canada award. When Parsiana attempted to obtain more information on him we learnt that 65-year-old Adil was born in Karachi to Dali and Soonu Mama. He is married to Margaret and they have a daughter Sophia. No further information could be gleaned for "he does not even have a smart phone for security reasons,” wrote Zarolia.
