Subscribers’ comments

Subscribers offer their views on Parsiana’s strengths and weaknesses on the subscription renewal form returned to us. With their consent we publish their comments so that their thoughts may be known to a wider readership. Unless another name is affixed to the remarks, Parsiana assumes they are written by the subscriber whose name appears on the form.

Parsiana’s strengths: News of world Zoroastrians. A very good pictorial magazine. Shortcomings: Motivate and encourage your readers to do good for the community.
TEHMTON S. ANKLESARIA

Your strengths: Coverage of community news all around India and parts of the world, along with good articles. Please continue to spread the message of community developments and discontinue orthodoxy. Shortcomings: None, but continue to change with time.
VIRAF M. BHARUCHAMarmugao, Goa

You provide good overall coverage, but there are few religious articles (no contra Parsi disputes please).
SAROSH NARIMAN CONTRACTOR

Strengths: Good reading, very good printing and photographs. Shortcomings: Don’t just talk about maara mari (fighting). Give some historical and interesting articles to read and cherish.
MINOO DARABSHAW DAMANIA

Parsiana’s strengths: Reporting of community news in true perspective and timely information on religious happenings with good photographs. Shortcomings: None, except that a section be introduced under "What readers say,” where readers can express their opinions.
LILY DASTUR Karachi, Pakistan

There is little openness to Parsi community and too much heckling of Bombay Parsi Punchayet trustees in particular. Only young trustees and organizations highlighted.
Ervad ADI D. GOWADIA

Parsiana’s strengths: The Parsi Zoroastrian community of India is passing through a transition and Parsiana is doing a fine job of recording this subtle but sure change. Keep it up. Shortcomings: None. But dedicate a page to a non-Parsi/Zoroastrian personality for his/her comments on the community.
