Soon here, within days, it will be spring,/ beautiful blossoms it will bring./ We bawajis will celebrate Navroz/ May our life become as fragrant as a rose.
Clink with glasses, and let us say cheers./ Also spare some money, to wipe a poor man’s tears./ Food aplenty there will be; pulav-dar, chicken, fish and meat./ Attempt let us, to make a street child’s life a bit more sweet.
Give him/her books, erasers and pencils, to good things learn./ This knowledge will perhaps enable them to a livelihood earn./This Navroz, leaving our differences behind, unite let us all./Enable us the will to be strong, so that a prey to anger and clout, we don’t fall.
