For the upcoming 12th World Zoroastrian Congress in New York from July 1 to 4, 2022, sponsorships totaling USD 430,000 (Rs 3.33 crore) will be supplemented by advertising revenue of USD 70,000 (Rs 54.30 lakh) that the organizers hope to raise through the program brochure, specified Edul Daver, co-chair of the Fundraising Committee.
Each of the 1,000+ attendees will receive the Congress brochure as "a keepsake and it will also go to our sponsors/donors and other well-wishers around the world,” mentioned the organizers. Prospective advertisers are encouraged to use this opportunity to announce their business/initiative/program/organization, or convey their gratitude to any/all speakers, or show support to the dozens of volunteers who have toiled over the last three years to bring this event to fruition.
Rather than elaborate on the efforts of his team, Daver was keen that Parsiana give credit to the 28 sponsors. Their diamond sponsor Dr Shahriyour Andaz contributed USD 100,000 (Rs 77.57 lakh); jade sponsor The Incorporated Zoroastrian Charity Funds of Hongkong, Canton and Macao, USD 35,000 (Rs 27.15 lakh); three gold sponsors Rakesh Bansal/New York Life, Aashish and Dinyar Devitre, and Tata Consultancy Services, USD 25,000 (Rs 19.39 lakh) each; and 22 silver sponsors USD 10,000 (Rs 7.75 lakh) each: Agenome Llc–The Avestagenome Project, Zar and Caroline Amrolia, anonymous, Rena and Behram Baxter, Shernaz and Feroze Bhandara, Behroze and Astad Clubwala, Piroozi Cooper-Wittlin, Barry Wittlin and family, Alayar Dabestani, Hira and Toos Daruvala, Niloufer and Edul Daver, Gulestan and Farrokh Deboo, Mehraban and Parvin Dinyarian, Monica and Ruyintan Mehta, Dhun and Farokh Noria, Gool and Farrokh Patel, Sylvia Pedder-Khanna, Aban Rustomji and family, Nilufer and Khushroo Shroff, Pam and Fali Shroff, Ziya and Kairus Tarapore, Arzan Wadia and family. Most of their silver sponsors are active members of the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America and the Zoroastrian Association of Greater New York, the co-hosts of the Congress. Nearly 30% of sponsorship commitments were made by interfaith married couples, Daver responded to a query from Parsiana.
