Surat-based family physician and former trustee of the Surat Parsi Panchayat (SPP) Dr Khushroo Lashkari (pictured) who succumbed to coronavirus on August 27, 2020, aged 75 years, was known for his service to the needy, noted SPP chairman Jamshed Dotivala in conversation with Parsiana. "In many cases he would not charge for his services, and also provide free medicines.” Lashkari battled Covid-19 for six weeks at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. Dramatist and SPP trustee Yazdi Karanjia remembered him as "a thorough gentleman… a very kind doctor…. hasmukh ané mayalu (smiling and kind hearted).” The doctor lived a quiet life.......
