The members of the 65-year-old Zoroastrian Dental Organization have assisted colleagues, patients and mobeds over the years

When prosthodontist Dr Porus Turner first wanted to start his dental clinic from his Rustom Baug residence, he did not have enough money to buy even foot operated dental equipment. His father, a pensioner who was blind in one eye, advised him to "give up” his studies. But the son heard about the Zoroastrian Dentists Organization (ZDO) and approached one of the founders, Capt (Dr) Nariman Vajifdar. Vajifdar kindly told him he had an old foot operated machine which he could have for free.
