In the Events and Personalities item "Forgotten Feroze Gandhi,” (Parsiana, September 7, 2013) it was mentioned that Gandhi was the son of a liquor merchant and that he had changed the spelling of his surname on the recommendation of Mahatma Gandhi.
Gandhi’s niece Ratoo Dastoor informed Parsiana that Feroze’s father Jehangir was the chief marine engineer in Scindia and he did not change the spelling of his surname as alleged. She terms Feroze "the most honest man on earth… He fought the Mundhra case and won it.” After the court hearing, he would often stop by at Ratoo’s house and chat with her mother, Aloo Nusserwanji Batliwalla. Aloo was an excellent cook and ran the Alexandra School canteen. When Aloo suggested that Feroze take up a job instead of indulging in all his social and political activities, he laughed it off.
He was fluent in English and Hindi but not so in Gujarati, having been raised in Allahabad. So when spoken to in Gujarati, he replied in Hindi.

In "Consummate cricket commentator” (Parsiana, August 7, 2013) we had erroneously mentioned that Dicky Rutnagur was flanked by Bapu Nadkarni (left) and Tony Cozier. On Rutnagur’s left was K. N. Prabhu.
In "The devout Daboo” (In Memoriam, Parsiana, September 7, 2013) the persons in the family photograph have been incorrectly identified. They are (from left) Khursheed, Noshir, Gool and Burjor Daboo. Burjor, Noshir’s brother Minocher’s son and his wife Khursheed took care of their uncle and aunt as Noshir’s son Navroze has settled in the USA.
In "Blessings in the bylane” (Parsiana, September 7, 2013) we had erroneously referred to benefactor Hoshang Antia as a construction expert. In his professional life he worked with Blue Star.
Parsiana regrets the errors.
