The theme for this year’s Administrative Professionals Day selected by the Indian Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals (IASAP) was "Let’s Root for Each Other and Watch Each Other Grow,” noted past president Zarine Commissariat. Guest of honor for the April 23, 2022 event was Ritu Lakhotia, chief financial officer of professional services firm Alvarez and Marshall. In attendance at their lunch, a 36-year-old tradition, at Thai Naam, J. W. Marriott was celebrated chef Ananda Solomon.
The IASAP newsletter The Professional Secretary was released by past president and editor, Moti Vazifdar and Lakhotia. Commissariat, in her email stated, "You make a difference and together we make a difference,” was emphasized by president Kashmira Gamadia. She acknowledged the assistance of immediate past president Edna Martis, honorary secretary Vijaylaxmi Amin, honorary treasurer Binaifer Daruwala and governing council members Rashna Ardesher and Joan Lobo.
IASAP, founded in 1970 by late Homai Mehta and Zelma Lazarus, is the only institute of lady secretaries and administrative professionals in India having chapters in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Delhi, Poona, Bangalore and Hyderabad, and totaling over 1,500 members. IASAP is affiliated to the Association of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals in Asia-Pacific.
