Enhancing solar power

Delhi Parsi Anjuman’s trustees are raising funds to enhance the Mengusi Dharamshala’s 40 KW solar power plant to make its operation more efficient. The existing solar panels on the roof have been elevated, thereby increasing the space available for more panels, stated vice president Adil Nargolwala in a conversation with Parsiana on July 19, 2022. A new lift was installed at the two-storied guest house in 2021. Plans are being drawn up to recruit a new caterer to provide meals to the residents of the facility. The lease with the current caterer Kainaz Contractor was reportedly not renewed by mutual consent. She was also providing subsidized meals to the residents of the Dharamshala. Contractor had popularized Parsi food in the National Capital Region and has reportedly started an eatery elsewhere.        Top: Solar panels atop Mengusi Dharamshala (above)         New elevator at Mengusi Dharamshala in Delhi        ...
