Your "So they say” column is always interesting, and sometimes entertaining. But the last item (Parsiana, September 21-October 6, 2020), which quotes from The Times of India of March 21, 2020, was hilarious. It read: "A medical examination was conducted (on the four who were convicted for raping Nirbhaya) during which the jail doctors checked their vitals to declare them fit for hanging.”
We have heard and appreciated the sage advice that a physician should heal himself, but I did not expect some of them to be so meticulous as to "check their vitals and declare them fit for hanging.” One needs to know in which special larder such precious parts of their anatomy are deposited.
