Community baugs and halls endeavor to provide amenities despite dwindling resources

Long past are the days when community members keen to celebrate an auspicious occasion at a particular venue on an auspicious roz would vie with others by throwing dice or picking up slips to determine whom destiny had favored. In the current scenario, with the community numbers declining, and the number of marriages and navjotes waning, there is not a single community founded venue in Bombay that is used for even half the number of days in a year, as revealed in a survey of 12 institutions conducted by Parsiana.
