Treasurywala shortlisted

Natasha Treasurywala (pictured) is among the 20 women shortlisted from the 800+ nominations received for the Asian Legal Business’ (ALB) Woman Lawyer of the Year award, notes a write-up from the lawyer. Other Parsi names that appear in the list of women finalists include Niloufer Lam of ZBA, Shiraz Patodia of Dua Associates and Zia Mody of AZB and Partners. (Mody appears in the list of finalists for managing partners too.) A partner at the Bombay offices of legal firm Desai and Diwanji, Treasurywala specializes in mergers and acquisitions as well as debt financing. She graduated from New York University in 2003 and thereafter received her law degree from Government Law College, Bombay and her solicitor’s degree from the Bombay Incorporated Law Society. The awards ceremony is to be held online on August 20, 2021, stated ALB’s website, which lists about 50 awards for 2021 in various categories under inhouse, individual and law firms. The judging panel listed on the website included Dr Akhil Prasad, director, country counsel India and company secretary, Boeing India, Cdr Anand Kumar, deputy director, National Maritime Foundation and Anupam Sharan, vice President, legal and compliance at consulting firm Connesso.                                                             F.
