The social activities of the residents of Bai M. N. Chenoy Agiary housing complex in Hyderabad are restricted to the colony residents and "that of one or two nearby Parsi buildings like Shapur Baug… Our community hall can hold a maximum of 80 persons, so even though we want to, we cannot invite all community members from the twin cities,” community member Kerfegar Antia noted while speaking to Parsiana on June 21, 2018. Crediting Faram Desai as being the moving spirit behind the recent social activities in the complex, Antia is worried that monthly interaction will soon be reduced when Desai, who is in Hyderabad for a short stint, moves back to Bombay. "Desai has promised that the July get-together will be a ‘surprise event,’” he stated.
A write-up from Russi Doctor, secretary and treasurer of the Chenoy Fire Temple Endowment Trust Fund that manages the residential complex detailed that on June 16, 32 community members in four teams took part in an Antakshari competition. The singing was preceded by a Bollywood night organized by Desai where "15 members from ages six to 60” presented old and recent Bollywood melodies and dances. Encouragement awards were presented to Kenisha Jilla, Richelle Italia and Hitaisha Ardishti. Prizes for the best dressed lady and gent were presented to Zarine Jilla and Jimmy Hormusji. The sound system for the event was organized by Beraaz Italia while snacks were provided by Chanda Patel.
