Every Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. US Central Time, Zenobia Tantra and Hosi Mehta run a radio show called "The Zen Wisdom, Shine Your Light, Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life” on WRLR 98.3 FM, The Voice of Lake County that can be accessed on the Internet from anywhere in the world. The topics they have covered are thoughts, religion, self-confidence, love, faith, spirituality, gratitude, thanksgiving, New Year, stress, bullying, sports, freedom, independence, life, truth, charity, peace, compassion, kindness, responsibility, character. They started their show in 2014 and in the first three years when they consecutively hosted the show they won awards in the inspirational/religious show category.
Following a two-and-a-half-year hiatus from end 2016 during which time Tantra was busy with two babies Zaara and Zayden whom she and her husband Zubin had adopted, and Mehta was on an extended visit to India, the duo returned to their show in mid 2019 on the persistence of the radio station chief executive officer. "Zaara who is six contributes her wisdom as well and we have discussed it on air,” added Zenobia.

According to Mehta, the show got its name Zen from the endearment Zubin used when addressing Zenobia. The lady however maintains, "It truly has nothing to do with that. I have a long way to go to be Zen-like (Zen Studies explains Zen as one’s true nature expressing itself moment by moment and a disciplined practice through which one can realize the joy of being), although it is something I strive for on a regular basis.” Throwing light on the genesis of this show she mentioned that when Zubin and she were at dinner with the president of the station and his wife, the president tried to convince Zubin to host a medical show "and since I hardly talk(!) he was gracious to ask me to host a show as well…on spirituality… Hosi and I were attending the Gatha classes at the Zoroastrian Association of Chicago hosted by Kayomarsh Mehta and we have had many positive discussions at this workshop in the past. He was the ideal partner…”
At their Gatha discussion, members of the group would take up one ha for study. Each member would read out a translation by one of the eight or more scholars and the group would later analyze the similarities and differences in interpretation. The day Zenobia called Hosi asking him whether he would collaborate on the talk show, he was ruminating that "we talk about these lofty ideals but what do we do to live by them and how do we share this wisdom?”
Before their first program, they met for months "to discuss what topics we would talk about, shared our knowledge and exchanged ideas and insights and life experiences. At first the idea of talking for one hour was intimidating… It was a great learning experience because when we research the topics we want to talk about, we learn from that, and when you share with an audience one has to have conviction and confidence in what one says,” recalled Mehta. Another learning experience for the duo was to decide which thoughts to dwell on and which to let go so that by controlling thoughts and articulating them in words they could transform lives.
Devoting their Sunday evenings to this radio show, they drive over to the station located in Lake Beach, Illinois. "It claims to be the only radio station which does live broadcast from a train station,” Mehta informed Parsiana. Basically operating from a small room where all the equipment is stored, they currently broadcast from there and expect to soon move into improved facilities.
