Fitness enthusiast Ayesha Billimoria received the Social Creator of the Year (SCY) award from Indian broadcasting and media production company Gold Coast Films in Sri Lanka on June 24, 2023. An educator, coach and mentor for fitness, she creates content in the space of running, training and fitness. In 2016 she started her own social enterprise by the name of Project Fitgirl which aims at educating young children in Government schools and in rural India. This project now works primarily in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

She stated on her Instagram handle @fitgirl.india, the award is "dedicated to my family who sacrificed their youth for my obsessive dream of becoming an Olympian… Firsts are always special … 20 years ago I won my first national gold medal… 20 years later winning my first creator award in the fitness category.”
Billimoria is a three-time national champion sprinter in 200 m from 2001 to 2003. She has represented Maharashtra state for 17 consecutive years and has held several national and state titles, notes her website. In 2003, Billimoria was awarded the Jal D. Pardivala Trophy for the best athlete of the year at the Jal D. Pardivala All Parsees Annual Athletic Meet (see "In the running,” Sports, Parsiana, April 2003).
