Artist and painter Natasha Lalla has never owned a paint brush, though she held her sixth solo exhibition "Horizon,” comprising of abstracts (acrylic on canvas) on October 19, 2018 at the Cosmic Heart Gallery. Painting "ever since I can remember,” she has now developed a "distinct style” of painting with her fingers, Lalla informed Parsiana at an interview on November 5, at the Gallery that "I channel energy through my fingers into my canvases to give each one the character they have.”

The 16 abstracts on display are in muted colors and largely consist of vertical and horizontal lines. Ranging in size from 26”x24” to 44”x44” the artist lets on how the show came to be termed "Horizons.” "I was describing the works to (gallerist) Jalpa (Vithlani) on the phone and she and her sister immediately said that it seems you are describing the lines where the sky meets the earth.” The artist believes that "the more one expands one’s horizon, the better is their understanding of life.” Calling herself "highly spiritual,” Lalla states her art allows her to combine two of her greatest loves, cosmic health and painting. An adherent of chromo therapy (the art of healing with colors), Lalla says "it is important to see the artist through her works.”
Vithlani addes that the journey of Lalla and that of her Gallery is "synonymous with each other… We endeavor to bring good art that satiates and uplifts you… exactly what Natasha’s work reflects.” The Gallery has sold close to 200 of Lalla’s paintings.
"I want to remain an abstract artist... I do not want to incorporate forms in my work,” Lalla said, noting that next on the cards is a show of abstracts themed around Lord Ganesh.
