Chief guests Dinshaw and Bachi Tamboly were welcomed by Phiroz Patel, president of the Parsi Panchayat Charitable Fund Vadodara at the reopening of the renovated Seth Pirojsha Godrej Community Hall in Vadodara on March 20, 2025. Over 325 community members attended the function, mentions a write-up received from the Panchayat.
Patel recounted incidents from the history of the Panchayat and about the vibrant community in Vadodara. The inspiring speech by Dinshaw, chairman of the WZO (World Zoroastrian Organisation) Trust Funds, was applauded by those present.

The newly refurbished hall has state-of-the-art facilities, including fully air-conditioned rooms in addition to the main hall, enhancing its comfort, utility and appeal for patrons. The contribution of Dinyar Engineer and Cyrus Bhesania to the renovation project was acknowledged, as were the efforts of the trustees and Panchayat staff. Originally constructed in 1985-86 at a cost of eight lakh rupees, made possible by a donation of three lakhs from the Pirojsha Godrej Foundation, it was named after its chief benefactor. The hall has been a space for community gatherings and celebrations.
The evening culminated in a traditional gahanbar, reinforcing the community’s spirit of unity and celebration. S. V.
