"I did a lot of make-believe rehearsals before the competitions. Intense practice helped me to achieve my goal,” says 28-year-old Meherzaad Bugwadia (pictured) who bagged the title of Mr Personality at the Face of Maharashtra competition organized by
Gallus, an event management company, in Poona on March 7, 2017. Bugwadia won a complimentary photo shoot, magazine coverage and gift vouchers, informs his father Ronnie.
After auditioning and sending his pictures and portfolio, the aspiring model got a call from the organizers informing him that he was selected. The lone Zoroastrian participant, he was among the 17 girls and 17 boys shortlisted. After walking the ramp in T-shirt and jeans and intense question and answer rounds, he was in the final six.
Bugwadia came to know about this pageant conducted at a state level through Facebook. A confident attitude and matching personality made this lanky lad enter the competition. Never one to give up, he mentions in an email to Parsiana that it was a difficult competition. "This is just a start and I have a long way ahead and much to achieve,” admits Bugwadia who dedicated his win to his mother Tanaz who succumbed to cancer in early 2016.
