Section 377 is a clause in the Indian Penal Code (IPC) introduced by British historian and politician Thomas Macaulay 185 years ago to control colonized homosexuals’ bodies: "Men may not have sex with men (sodomy) against the order of nature.” For Victorians, heterosexual sex in the missionary position was alone natural.
