Let us pray Dr Jamshed Modi (pictured below) still recalls the time his father, Ardeshir, mother Perinbanoo, brother Nadirsha and he would stand together before going to sleep and recite several humbandagis written by his scholar grandfather Sir Jamshedji  Jivanji Modi. Jamshed continued the practice with his wife and two daughters and believed more Parsis and Zoroastrians may want to follow suit.            This April, the former management consultant and founder of the erstwhile Zoroastrian Community Development Institute who is now a Reiki and life-coach practitioner, published for free distribution a small 20-page booklet titled Some Parsee Humbandagis (pictured above). The publication contains five short prayers, three by his grandfather and two by a Firoz Batliwalla. A transliteration in English and an English translation on facing pages are provided.
