As you may be aware my brother Ervad Rustom Bhedwar composed a two-volume compact disc (CD), The Gathas of Prophet Zarathushtra ("London calling,” Zoroastrians Abroad, Parsiana, January 2004). They were handed over to Malcolm Deboo who in turn packaged them with a transliteration and translation and sold the CDs to the community.
As mentioned in your issue "the package is priced at £ 47 plus UK postal insurance of nine pounds. Of the proceeds seven pounds will be donated to the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe (ZTFE) Atash Dadgah Fund and seven pounds to the ZTFE New Centre Fund. Contact Deboo at ZTFE (e-mail: library@ztfe. com) to order.”
I have been approached by members of our community asking to whom the balance of £ 33 goes? I wish to clarify that my brother has not received any money from the sale of this package nor does he want any. Furthermore, all copyright vests with the ZTFE. The composition of this CD was made in the interest of the Zoroastrian community at large and not for personal monetary profit.
