Recognizing influence

Hospitality professional Benaifer Kapadia (pictured) was among the "50 Most Influential Women Leaders In Hospitality” who were recognized at an event organized by the Global MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition industry) Congress and Awards, at the Taj Land’s End, on February 12, 2019. The event was supported by CMO Asia which promotes networking opportunities among marketing professionals.
The 39-year-old Bombay resident noted in an email to Parsiana that in her current position as director, sales and marketing of GHM (General Hotel Management) Limited since November 2016, her objective is to "position their luxury hotel The Chedi as a lifestyle destination and... preferred partner for business, leisure and luxury audiences.” GHM operates four luxury hotels in Asia and Europe. Kapadia has previously held sales and marketing positions in the Radisson Hotel Group, Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Sun-and-Sand Hotels Private Limited. "My ability to connect and collaborate with strategic partners fosters a sense of inclusion, ownership and personal commitment to my work,” she noted.
While her parents Jal and Pervin are retired, sister Shehrezad is chef de cuisine at the Four Seasons in Bombay. "I am a progressive Zoroastrian who firmly believes in good thoughts, good words and good deeds that forms the core essence of our religion,” Benaifer noted.
