The best contribution by Parsiana to me and my wife Persis was an issue sometime in the year 1999-2000 where you carried an advertisement by a young gem astrologer from Dahisar who was a non-Parsi. I phoned him on a Sunday morning and he was present at my house by early afternoon. I’m extremely passionate about gem astrology. He spoke neat, clean, 24-carat in truth and honesty after seeing my horoscope and advised me accordingly. In return I took no time in confirming the gem stones and the rings he suggested and at the prices he quoted, which were I think in the tens of thousands. I asked him what my date of death was from my horoscope. He deliberated a little at first, but refused to answer and left.
Due to reading disability I was not going to renew the subscription to Parsiana, but my wife insisted that I continue. As a cosmopolitan Parsi, I am different from the colony Parsis. Somehow the Parsis have malfunctioned and have sucked the most from me, giving nothing in return. On the other hand, non-Parsis have given back to me in much larger measure.
