WZO India’s plans

The suggestions received at the annual general meeting (AGM) of the World Zoroastrian Organisation India (WZOI) on March 11, 2018 "pertained to organizing religious trips to atash behrams and agiaries, having more entertainment programs and medical camps.” The committee has tentatively decided to have an eye camp (led by) Dr Keiki Mehta, a dental camp in association with the St George’s Hospital, and an interfaith workshop, to name a few, joint treasurer Rohinton Dadachanji informed Parsiana. "On June 2 we are having our annual Dae mah jashan at Allbless Baug followed by musical entertainment and contributory dinner.”
WZOI runs two boarding and lodging homes, Katila House and Bharda House in Udvada. "The silent work being carried out by the Organisation for aiding those in need has often been under publicized,” states Dadachanji, referring to the medical, eye and dental camps organized by them, and the distribution of "blankets and rations to widows residing in various widows’ chawls.”
The office bearers of WZOI include, besides Dadachanji, chairman Kersi Limathwala, vice chairman Nozer Meherji, joint secretaries Percy Mistry and Bakhtawar Shroff. "The Organisation is also committed to charity, be it for education, medical or poverty relief and for the promotion of sports activities,” according to their note.
