The Editorial Viewpoint "Which path will be chosen?" (Parsiana, October 21, 2018) was well-researched, balanced, informative, and a case study in objective analysis. May I advise the litigants in the Metro realignment matter to adopt these same virtues in their approach to this suit?
While we may fume at the perceived violation of our places of higher worship, it is also pertinent to note that all prophets and reformers discovered the higher truths within themselves, and not in some man-made structure.
I pray that we also so search within ourselves, purify our own inner sanctum sanctorums, and, to paraphrase Zarathushtra, "reflect with a pure mind, man by man for himself."

In "Which path will be chosen?" (Parsiana, October 21, 2018), you have rightly questioned, "Does the recent outpouring of support for the petitioners opposing the Metro alignment mean the mystic movement has gained adherents or are people unthinkingly lending their support?" Can God save a people who are looking forward to man-made untruths? Even the orthodox have condemned such gimmickry. Orthodoxy is itself gasping for breath with wishy-washy messiahs having melted into non-existence.
Psychiatrists have analyzed mysticism and mystics long ago, considering these people even at sainthood levels, to be "fundamentalists," and I would add, "sensationalists." It is an obstinate passion of the hard-core believers in every tarikat (ritual) to be observed which has created problems galore for those who take religion too seriously. They finally end as cranks and even develop mental disorders.
Let’s wait for the ultimate round to see whose stand on the issue will be found to prove sound.
