There are 1,182 Zoroastrians in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, of which 1,056 are residents and 126 non-residents, as per statistics provided in the "Directory of Zoroastrian Families Secunderabad and Hyderabad 2016.” The total 
strength has declined by 13 from 2012, when the last edition of the Directory was compiled, and the corresponding figures showed 1,169, with 1,054 residents and 115 non-residents, according to Parsi Zoroastrian Anjuman of Secunderabad and Hyderabad (PZASH) trustee Jehangir Bisney.
Of this total 52% (618) are female and 48% (564) male. Thirty-six percent of the Parsi population is over 60 years of age while the under 20 years of age percentage is 13% (see chart for details).
This year the PZASH Directory was formally released immediately after a jashan at the Khan Bahadur Edulji Sohrabji Chenai Anjuman Dar-E-Meher in Secunderabad, on Parsi New Year day, August 17, 2016 mentions Aspi S. Debara, honorary secretary PZASH in a letter to Parsiana.
PZASH undertook the "onerous responsibility” of updating the latest details available and the Directory carries the contact details of all individuals, along with their age, occupation and blood group. A listing of the management team of PZASH is also provided, along with a description of its activities and facilities. Information about the several Zoroastrian institutions of long standing in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad have been included — there are three agiaries, two dakhmas, the Zoroastrian Stree Mandal, Mirasan Trust for medical and educational aid, the Bai Ratanbai J. Chenoy Parsi High School, a Parsi Dharamsala, Zoroastrian Club and sundry other trusts. Adding value to the Directory is a list of emergency services with phone numbers and email IDs. General information about places of interest in the twin cities is also available.
A list of blood donors, data on the G6PD enzyme deficiency which is prevalent in the community, and a list of Parsi dharamshalas and sanatoriums all of over India are other helpful features of the Directory.
