A logo contest has been announced for the 12th World Zoroastrian Congress (12WZC) that will be held in New York in July 2022. The contest inviting entries from citizens of any country opened on August 1, 2019 and will close on November 15, 2019 at 11.59 p.m. US Eastern Standard Time. The winning entry will receive a prize of USD 501, according to a communiqué from the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America.
"The logo should have a Zoroastrian theme and reflect WZC2022’s mission, vision, theme, goals and objectives,” state the organizing team, clarifying, ”It may reflect any aspect of Zoroastrian religion, culture, architecture, iconography, social custom, tradition, philosophy, etc that the artist chooses. It should be professional in appearance and appropriate for a World Congress. It should have universal appeal but be of relevance — stylistically and otherwise — to the Zoroastrian religion and its followers worldwide. The logo could also allude to the host city New York in some way or form.”
There is no entry fee and individuals are permitted to submit more than one logo design along with their full name, email address, postal address and telephone number. Whilst it is recommended that electronic entries in color (although no color gradients or half tones are permitted) or black and white are submitted as JPEG, PNG, PDF, TIFF, AI, CDR or EPS files, it is specified that even young artists who may not have the technological tools could participate. If their concept and design win the competition, WZC2022 will assist in transforming the design into a functional logo.

The Congress mission is "to create an atmosphere of opportunity… for the worldwide Zarathushti brethren to come together and work together in hamazori for the mutual benefit of their communities while celebrating their diversity.”
"Bridging the Global Zarathushti Existence,” is the theme selected for the Congress to reflect "the aspirations and challenges of the larger Zarathushti community on the cusp of emerging from the first quarter of the 21st century.”
The goal is not only to bridge Zarathushtis from across the world but also "to bridge the age, gender, cultural and spiritual differences.” The organizers will endeavor to involve Zoroastrian associations and emerging Zoroastrian groups to encourage their participation. The key objective is "to use our program, technology and social media to generate increased interest and awareness of the Zarathushti religion, faith and global existence.”
